PREMIER Cradled Panel

The design of our cradled panel flips the L-shaped bar upside down so that the back of the bar is in contact with the back of the panel’s face. This increases the surface area for gluing the panel to its cradle and makes an incredibly rigid substrate. We use 1/4” Baltic Birch plywood for the face - double the thickness of other commercial panels and each corner is reinforced with the same plywood triangles. These design features create an extremely strong panel that substantially resists warping and twisting.

We offer tondo panels in profile depths of 3/4” or 1-1/4'“. Tondos are made from two layers of Baltic Birch plywood; the cradle being one layer and the face being another. The cradle is a thicker material and is milled with crossbars, providing a continuous and large surface area for gluing which keeps the entire panel from warping.
